Instead of writing a column last week, I thought it'd be more fun to tend to Zack's recurring ear infection (he's feeling better now). I turned in this old column instead. Back to regular programming next week.
In other news, the Poughkeepsie Journal might be running a story that includes some details on the hiking site I've been working on for the past couple of years, which would be pretty righteous. They asked me to submit some pictures of our family out hiking in the area -- I've already posted most of these here, but it still makes me smile to go back and look at 'em.
'Til next week! Assuming everyone's ear canals cooperate.
Talk about things that are becoming obsolete- one of them is blog comments from regular people. Your old column had a staggering ten; these days it's hard to get anyone to comment unless of course the cat dies, when sympathy flows like a river. (I'm not willing to adopt an old cat just for that purpose, though.) (At least not yet.)
ReplyDeleteLove your stuff, old or new. It's always a #5.
My old columns got lots of comments, but that was because people didn't know at the time that I was going to keep this up for so many years. They weren't signing up for that kind of commitment. Pretty sure it's just you, my mom and the Russian comment-spammers hanging in there now.
DeleteI really, really appreciate the support, Marcia. Thanks so much for all the kind words over the years!
Even if I don't comment on them, I read your blog posts every week! =)
ReplyDeleteNyet Commrade! Always enjoy your column, but I'm not the Russian Spammer! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou all rock, and you help keep me at it even though writing this column every week (well, you know, almost every week) seems to get tougher all the time. It was way easier to find the time when the only butt I had to wipe was my own. I really appreciate all the kindness and support.
